Eagle Lake is providing good trout fishing, with Eagle Lake rainbow trout actively feeding during the cooler morning and evening hours. Anglers are finding the most consistent action around rocky points, drop-offs, and areas adjacent to deeper water.Trout are commonly holding in 8 to 15 feet of water during the early morning and moving into 15 to 30 feet of water as the day progresses. During periods of wind, fish may move shallower to take advantage of food being pushed along the shoreline.Bait anglers are having success with inflated nightcrawlers, chartreuse PowerBait, garlic PowerBait, and salmon eggs fished near the bottom.
