Lewis River and North Fork: Is Open for Steelhead and Hatchery Salmon. Above Johnson Creek night closure and anti snagging rules are in effect. Steelhead are in and throughout the system. Some Springers are being caught that season will soon wind down.. Springer fishing will be best in May and early June. The lower river has been good for plunking spin n glows with coon shrimp. When fishing upstream, Bobber fishing with Jigs beads and eggs, spinners and plugs are recommended. Only Hatchery Salmon or Steelhead can be retained. We have the gear in stock for the Lewis. Fishing in the Lewis River for Coho Salmon is very good and should remain good for the next few weeks. Daily limit: 2 adult Salmon may be retained. Release all salmon other than hatchery Chinook and Hatchery coho. Use Twitching jigs, spinners and small plugs for the Silvers. Winter Steelhead will soon be arriving, summer runs are in the upper river, time to get stocked up for the season at Sportsmans!Click here to unsubcribe from your fishing reports.
