The North Fork Lewis: Is Open for Steelhead and Salmon: The Winter Steelhead are about over a few early Summer Steelhead are starting to show up. Spring Chinook are also starting to show up the fishing below the Salmon Hatchery can be very good in the late spring. The lower river has been good for plunking spin n glows with coon shrimp. When fishing upstream, Hover fishing, diver and bait and bobber fishing with Jigs beads and eggs, spinners and plugs are recommended. Only Hatchery Salmon or Steelhead can be retained. Fishing in the Lewis River for Coho Salmon is very good and should remain good for the next few weeks. Daily limit: 2 adult Salmon may be retained. Release all salmon other than hatchery Chinook and Hatchery coho. Use Twitching jigs, spinners and small plugs for the Silvers.
