Kalama River: Is open for Hatchery Steelhead and Hatchery Salmon. Summer Steelhead are in and being caught, 53 to the Hatchery so far. Springers fishing has slowed almost over. Recommended techniques: Bobber fishing with Jigs, beads and eggs is very productive. Spinners and Spoons can be good options for Steelhead and Salmon. Kalama is a good river for Fly fishing. Fishing in the Kalama River for Coho Salmon is very good and should remain good for the next few weeks. Daily limit: 2 adult Salmon may be retained. Release all salmon other than hatchery Chinook and Hatchery coho. Use Twitching jigs, spinners and small plugs for the Silvers.
