Kalama River: It is open for Hatchery Steelhead, Hatchery Sea run Cutthroat and Hatchery Salmon. The Kalama Summer Steelhead is towards the end of the run, some years in the fall there is an uptick of Summer Steelhead for a few weeks. A few bright winter Steelhead have been caught. Expect bigger numbers of winter fish in a few months. Bobber fishing with Jigs, beads and eggs is very productive. Spinners and Spoons and Brads Wigglers can be good options for Salmon. Fishing in the Kalama River for Coho Salmon is very good and should remain good for the next few weeks. Daily limit: 2 adult Salmon may be retained. Release all salmon other than hatchery Chinook and Hatchery coho. Use Twitching jigs, spinners and small plugs for the Silvers. Winter Steelhead will soon be arriving, summer runs are in the upper river get stocked up for the season at Sportsmans!Click here to unsubcribe from your fishing reports.
