Lake Merwin: The Kokanee fishing is okay. some getting limits and some not you have to work for the fish. This time of year, fishing near the surface is best early in the morning, later in the day fishing 20-40ft deep is best. Recommended set up is a Flasher or Dodgers with a hoochie or wedding ring spinner behind it. Smaller lures and Dodgers seem to work better early in the year with the fish near the surface Fish hoochie's 8" inches back small spinners 12" back. Pink has recently been the go to color. Make sure you are using scented corn. We have all the gear, lures, flashers, dodgers and scents to help you be successful, come in and see us for more info! Note: Merwin will have its annual turnover soon this will effect the fishing when it occurs.
