MSL lead guide Eric Dickinson says, "Summer is just around the corner! Seeing good number of Sulphurs, especially around mid day pulses. Fish are to keying in on larger sulphur nymphs. So don't be afraid to throw a larger sz 14/16 Pheasant Tail followed by a smaller bwo nymph or midge. For dry flys, try a sz 22 black caddis behind a sz 16 sulpur compardun or sparkle dun!" Great fishing, fish are in full Spring / Summer mode. Still seeing low water flows throughout the week and weekend. Be on the look out for evening high water releases as summer approaches. River is low and gin clear between the daily pulses! Many approaches can be applied on the SoHo. However a long leader, 6X tippet, and small flies will be the best practice. The river is packed with fish, but they are smart and selective. Most nymphs will start at a size 16 and go smaller from there. Sulphers will be 14-16 and BWO's will be 16-20. Streamer fishing is usually reserved for float trips during high water. Always remember, generation flows change daily. Check the flows before you enter the water
