Check roads. River road is still closed. Bald River bridge repair. Detour. It may be spring before it opens. Good early winter fishing conditions with road hazards. Best fishing during the warmer periods of the day. Winter fishing on the Tellico. The upper elevation tribs are producing well with colorful fish. Access and road hazards should be first consideration. Generally good stream levels. Warm afternoons can still be dry fly. Nymph fishing is working well also. Stealth is key.
