Fishing at Crawford State Park is currently fair to moderate, with warm surface temperatures around 69F and the reservoir sitting at approximately 41% capacity. Fishing is generally best during the early morning and late evening, while the midday heat can slow activity. Northern pike, yellow perch, crappie, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and rainbow trout are all available, with warm-water species currently providing some of the better action.For pike, try large spoons, jerkbaits, or white soft plastics around remaining weed lines. Perch and crappie can be targeted with small jigs under slip bobbers near rocky drop-offs, while bass anglers should focus on rocky points, structure, and drop-offs using soft plastics or crankbaits. Trout are holding deeper during the warmer parts of the day. Motorized boat ramps are currently closed due to low water levels, with only hand-launched and human-powered vessels such as kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards permitted.
