San Vicente Reservoir is a lake located in San Diego County, California, United States. It is most popular for fishing Largemouth bass, Bluegill, and Spotted bass. Popular Bait for trout include: cured fish roe, insects, Powerbait Trout Nuggets, worms, nymphs and minnows, kernel corn, salmon eggs. Popular Lures for Trout include: flies, jigs, spinners, spoons, plugs, streamers. San Vicente has a lot of bluegill and other sunfish, plus an abundance of cover such as flooded bushes. Using a drop shot, ned rig, or other soft plastic rigs will give you the best chance of catching more and larger bass. Besides fishing, you can do several water contact sports such as water skiing and wakeboarding on weekends, and some additional days during the warmer months, so check the schedule.
