Winter fishing is good for Corvina, Halibut, White Seabass, and Spotted Sand Bass. Just beware that temperatures drop to 49F this time of year. Excellent time to target some White Seabass this month! Mission Bay is a part of an ocean located in San Diego County, California, United States. It is most popular for fishing Spotted sand bass, California halibut, and Barred sand bass. Max depth is about 202 in areas of the Mission Bay Channel, Mariner's Basin and Quivera Basin. Most areas in the bay are around 122 feet deep at high tide. Eelgrass and man made structures like bridge pilings and boat docks stand out as primary fish habitat on the otherwise sandy and flat bottom. Lots of Spotted Bay Bass, Halibut, Shortfin Corvina, and Bonefish around as well as various species of sharks and rays including Leopard Sharks, Shovelnose Sharks, and Bat Rays. Fishing should only improve as the water warms into Summer. A fishing license is required when fishing everywhere except for a public pier. *Greens, Browns, and Oranges: Best Lure Colors for Bay Fishing*3 swimbait, on a 1/4 or 3/16 oz jighead
