Popular fishing spots include the 9-Mile Bank, the Coronado Islands, and offshore banks like the Upper Finger Bank and Kidney Bank. Be sure to have some yo-yo jigs for Bonito and Yellowtail. Sculpin, Rock Cod, Sand Bass, White Seabass, and Calico Bass are biting well for anglers. Bluefin and Yellowfin tuna are prime catches in San Diego's offshore waters, with peak seasons varying for each species. Halibut, White Seabass, Lingcod, and various rockfish species are also caught in San Diego's offshore waters.
