Artificial fly and lure fishing only using single-pointed barbless hooks and catch-and-release only for trout from Oct. 1 through March 31. No trout may be kept. Trout must be immediately released unharmed. From April 1 through Sept. 30 fishing is limited to the designated area below the section boundary fence and general statewide regulations apply. Upper section will be good for large fish try Baetis | Mahogany Duns | October Caddis| Hopper Patterns | Bullet French Nymph | DB Zebra Midge in black, red, or olive | Pine Squirrel Leech. Fishing under an indicator is usually the most effective method here. Stocking of Apache Browns ended in Mid July, stocking of Rainbow Trout to occur through September. Fish with worms or your favorite power bait color with garlic scent. Panther Martin, Rooster tails, Joe's Flies, small cast masters for the rainbow trout. Trolling: try baby cowbells with night crawlers. Fly Fisherman try brown / black woolly, beaded prince and dry flies.
