Anglers are finding success on spinners and flies. Hellgrammite, Simi-seal leech, zebra midge, elk hair caddis, hoppers, and mayfly patterns are a good bet. Now is a good time to target the large Brown Trout that inhabit Oak Creek.. Powerbait and night crawlers are working best for trout. Largemouth bass are hitting on smaller spinner-baits and crank-baits. Smallmouth and rock bass are eating rooster tails, small rainbow/ brown trout crank baits, and senkos on a wacky rig (try watermelon with black flake or a similar color).
