The freshest catch information I found is encouraging for largemouth bass and catfish, although Sahuarita is a small, heavily pressured 10-acre community lake. Recent 2026 angler reports include bass up to about 3 lb 13 oz and several catfish.Sahuarita Lake Park is a 10-acre lake with a maximum depth of only 12 feet, so fish can be reached from shore and you don't need a big boat. Largemouth bass fair to goodRecent catches include bass around 2 lb 3 oz, with other 2026 catches reported. With the warm late-September water, I'd concentrate on dawn and dusk.Try a 5" Senko/wacky rig, Texas-rigged worm, small swimbait or shallow crankbait.Work the edges of vegetation, shade, rocks and any structure.Since the lake is shallow, don't overlook water just a few feet deep early in the morning. Catfish good optionCatfish are one of the most frequently reported catches at Sahuarita.Nightcrawler, chicken liver, prepared stink bait or cut bait on the bottom is a good approach.Evening into nighttime should be your best window. Bluegill/sunfishSmall worms or 1/321/16 oz jigs under a bobber are worth trying around structure. AZGFD recommends this general approach for warm-water community lakes. TroutTrout are stocked seasonally, but September is not when I'd make trout the primary target. AZGFD says lower-elevation community-lake stockings are held through mid-September during the summer period, with the cooler-season stocking pattern following afterward. What I'd use right nowIf you're bank fishing, I'd bring just three setups:5" green-pumpkin Senko, wacky rig bassSmall 1/16-oz jig + worm bluegill/sunfishNightcrawler or chicken liver on bottom catfishFish first light, move around rather than sitting in one spot, and come back for a sunset catfish session.Regulations: AZGFD currently lists a daily limit of 4 catfish, 4 trout, 2 bass (13-inch minimum), and 10 sunfish at Sahuarita Lake.If you tell me whether you're bank fishing or using a kayak, I can give you a specific Sahuarita Lake route/strategywhere I'd start, what side to fish, and what I'd throw first.
