Largemouth Bass: Spring and summer are prime times for bass fishing, especially during their spawning season when they build nests in shallow areas. Catfish: Both channel and flathead catfish are abundant and can be caught from shore or by boat. Effective baits include chicken liver, worms, hot dogs, anchovies, and manufactured "stink baits." Catfish are most active at dawn, dusk, and nighttime.
