The most recent Arizona Game & Fish information I can find for Arivaca Lake points to a bass-and-multi-species fishery, with the current late-September conditions favoring finesse presentations and low-light fishing.Largemouth bassCatch-and-release only for largemouth bass at Arivaca Lake; bass must be immediately released unharmed.AZGFD's latest regional report said plastic worms were producing, with wacky-rigged and drop-shot plastics among the more effective setups at the southern Arizona reservoirs, including Arivaca.For the current warm-water period, I'd fish first light and the last couple hours before dark.Try wacky Senkos, drop-shots, Texas rigs and small swimbaits around shoreline cover, points and deeper transitions.CatfishCatfish are available and can be a good alternative when the bass bite slows.
