Rainbow trout are the target at this lake. Small tube jigs or spoons or spinners in white, chartreuse, gold or glow are a good lure/color choice. Small hooks or jigs tipped with Pautzkes Balls O Fire, or Cured shrimp or nightcrawlers can also work great. Fish and Game has begun their stocking program for 2026. Mile 42.3 Parks Hwy. South on Knik-Goose Bay Rd. 0.1 mile to Susitna Ave. Right on Susitna Ave. 0.2 mile to access with parking and undeveloped boat launch. 2nd public access at Mile 2.3 on Knik-Goose Bay Rd. is Lake Lucille Mat-Su Borough Park Campground on north side of road. Camping, picnic tables, toilet facilities and a short boardwalk trail to lake. NOTE: Limited public access. Majority of lake shoreline is privately owned.
