Bass fishing is good and worth the trip. Fish are all over, shallow, mid-depth and deep. Any shad imitating bait is a good choice. Top water baits are productive in low light conditions (early and late) . Or drag a worm or drop shot around. Trout fishing should start to pick up with the water cooling. Trout stocking will start this month. Fishing from the shore? Folsom Lake is a reservoir on the American River in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California, United States. It is located within Placer, El Dorado, and Sacramento Counties.
