The shorter days and cooling temps. are making Black bass fishing tricky, if not challenging. Moving baits like bladed jigs, jerk baits and spinner baits seem to be working best when the tide is moving (in or out). If the bite is really tough, slow down with a drop shot or weightless stickbait (Senko). Striper are in the system and can be targeted in moving water. Trolling, soaking bait or casting lures are all productive this time of year. If in a boat, stop at every flowing pump or near any feeding bird action. Move around. If not getting bites within fifteen minutes, move. A-rigs, jerk baits, Rat-L-Traps, Swimbaits and top water walking baits are all good choices.
