Overall Bite: Pretty Good trout steady, perch picking up, walleye a bonus.Rainbow Trout GoodLocals are still getting into trout, especially mornings. Shore guys are doing okay with PowerBait and worms, while boat anglers trolling small spoons or wedding rings are finding fish suspended. Some recent angler chatter points to decent action near the dam and around the inlet.Best bet: Garlic PowerBait, nightcrawler under a slip bobber, or troll silver hardwareFocus: Dam face, inlet, and mid-reservoir pointsEarly bite has been better than afternoonsYellow Perch Fair to GoodPerch are starting to show up. Nothing lights-out, but enough to target if you find a school.Small jigs tipped with wormTry deeper edges and structureWalleye FairA few fish around, mostly low light. This is more of a put in time bite right now.Swimbaits or blade baitsFish windblown points toward duskLocal Angler TakeIf I was heading to Echo this weekend, Id start soaking bait for trout at first light, then spend late morning graphing or probing deeper structure for perch. If the wind kicks up in the evening, Id throw swimbaits for walleye.Quick TakeTrout: 7.5/10Perch: 6/10Walleye: 5.5/10Pattern to Watch: As water warms, that Weber River inlet should only get better. Also worth noting: very low releases from Echo into the Weber have been reported recently.
