recently an algae bloom has occurred at dog town leaving the shallows pretty murky and making it tough to fish bottom contact baits that aren't weedless as well as baits with trebles. t-rigged swimbaits, swim worms, and flukes are all effective in shallower water for active feeding largemouth. pan fisherman should have a hay day for crappie and green sunfish around any visible structure smaller 1 to 2 inch craw or minnow representations should produce bites, fly's like prince nymphs, copper johns, San Juan worms are almost guaranteed to catch a crappie either under an indicator or slowly stripping them in. trout have been harder to target off of the bank due to the algae blooms, trolling fly's and spinners have seemed to be the ticket, hatches are still happening occasionally and may draw the trout shallower.
