Spring Salmon is here but it has been hit or miss from the sounds of it. Skinnier waters people are having better luck and people trolling from a boat. Please check you pamphlets or the WDFW website to check for emergency rule changes and closures! The fishing is hot for Walleye!! They can be caught jigging on the bottom as they are moving up the shoreline to feed. Another tactic from shore is to try using a shallow running Bandit or Walleye Nation Shaky Shad. Can also give bottom fishing with live bait a try as well. Try to match your presentation to what they are feeding on and you cant go wrong. If you are from a boat slow troll some deeper diving baits and pray for the big one! You can expect fishing for Walleye to slow down a bit once they move onto spawn beds for a week or two then they will become active again. If you are after bass you will have some luck with hard plastics but they are gorging themselves on crawfish at the moment. Try out the newer Yamamoto Yama Craw in natural color selections and within a few casts you will be hooked up! Don't forget to check you local regulations before going to the river and feel free to ask any of our associates in fishing if you have any questions!
