Rating - Good

Sunday, Feb 01 2026
The southern half of Silver Lake has good ice of 8 inches plus, and there has been lots of angling activity out of the State launch. No word on condition of ice at north end, which had open water spots a week ago. The shallower ends of the lake, and weedy mid-lake margins are good spots to target a mix of sunfish and yellow perch. Yellow perch catch rates are typically better at depths of 20-30 feet of water. Northern pike are available anywhere you find small perch and sunfish. Tip-ups with large shiners is the typical tactic.
