Stocking schedule has started for most rim creeks , check AZGF web sight for dates. Mogollon Rim area outside of Payson, including Canyon Creek, Christopher Creek, Haigler Creek, Tonto Creek, and Horton Creek. . Stocking of Tonto and Christopher creek as began, Target the slower and deeper pools. Stocking has continued for the year. Small Rooster Tails, Panther Martins , cricket hoppers, or power bait and night crawlers will work. Fly fisherman should try dry dropper rigs with natural colored bead head nymphs below also small woolies. A stimulator dry with a bead head pheasant tail or hares ear is hard to beat on most of the streams. Check for road closures US Forest Service.
