Bartlett Lake is a fun lake and relatively easy to fish. Bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish will notably be in rocky structure, gravel flats, humps, and small creek inlets and cuts. In the summer bass will seek deeper haunts close to shallow flats, pockets, or coves.. Bass can be caught on yamamoto football jigs, dropshots with roboworms, ned rigs with z man trds, and crankbaits shad imitation colors work best this time of year when the water warming up. Remember bass can be caught around boulders and in brush lines on sinkos and spinnerbaits. Crappie is just starting, try around the Yellow Cliffs with 1/16oz jigs and 2" kalins slow trolling can work well . Catfish are becoming active. In the days and weeks to come they will be lurking the shallows in search food. For Chanel Cats use live worms, stink baits and chicken livers. For Flatheads load up with big line 20Lb. plus, fish 5-15 feet deep with live worms, live bluegill of small carp. Rig up a Carolina rig with 1oz. egg sinker to help keep your bait on the bottom. Fish from dusk to dawn. Remember AZ. state record came out of Bartlett. Angler and guide "Flathead ED" landed the 76.52 lb. monster catfish 2013.
