Lake Powell

Rating - Good

Friday, Oct 22 2021
Water Levels have gone down to 3548ft. Upstream Reservoirs are being opened to help the lake from dropping further. With lowering waters fishing has been slow but the water tempertures are droping a little so the fish are a little more active on the surface. Stripers have been doing well on anchovies, fished at about 40-60ft. They've been alot more active in the Canyons and the dam. Bass fishing is slow. Fish are deeper now to stay cool, and you can still find them along rocky shorelines and anywhere where there is structure. Brighter colored plastics have been working great for smallmouth around structure about 5-25 feet of water. Largemouth have been active as well hitting soft plastics, mainly grubs and creature baits but senkos have also been effective.
