Fishing at Lake Perris is productive right now. Largemouth bass are biting well early and late in the day on soft plastics and topwater lures, especially near vegetation and drop-offs. Catfish are active in the evenings, use cut bait or stink bait near deep structure. Bluegill and redear sunfish are hitting worms and small jigs around brush piles and weed beds. Trout are slow this time of year, but a few are still being caught. Both shore and boat fishing are available, and conditions are good overall.
