Fishing at Lake Elsinore is solid this week. Channel catfish are biting well in the evenings and at nightbest baits include chicken liver, mackerel, and stink bait near shorelines and docks. Wipers (hybrid striped bass) are chasing shad in shallow water during early mornings and dusk; use shad-pattern lures or live bait. Largemouth bass are active around vegetation and rocky points, with soft plastics and crankbaits producing consistent action. Panfish (bluegill and crappie) are hitting worms and small jigs, especially near docks and brush piles. Carp are easily caught from shore using corn or dough bait. Water conditions are good, and no advisories are in effect
