High Rock Lake November Fishing ReportNovember on High Rock brings cool nights, stained water, and strong fall feeding activity as bass begin transitioning toward deeper winter structure. Water temps typically fall into the low-60s early in the month and upper-50s by late November, and the lakes normally stained water keeps fish shallower and more aggressive than many other reservoirs.Bass PatternLargemouth are in full fall feeding mode, following shad into creeks, flats, and mid-depth secondary points. Classic High Rock shallow-water power fishing shines this month. Key areas include:Flat, windy pocketsSecondary points in major creeks (Abbotts, Swearing Creek, Second Creek)Docks with 36 feet of waterStump fields and shallow channel swingsBrush piles in 812 ftBest Lures for NovemberHigh Rock is a power fishing lake, and these baits consistently put fish in the boat this time of year:Squarebill Crankbait (chartreuse/black back, red, or shad) one of the best November producers in stained water.Spinnerbait (double willow or willow/colorado) excellent on windy banks and pockets.Shallow Crankbait (DT-6, Bandit 200, Shad Rap) grind it around rock and stumps.Buzzbait or Whopper Plopper still gets bites early/mid-month during warm spells.Lipless Crankbait great for covering flats with scattered baitfish.Jig (3/8 or 1/2 oz black/blue or green pumpkin) skip under docks or drag on rock transitions.Alabama Rig especially later in the month around creek mouths and channel swings.Current Bite OverviewMorning: Shad push shallowsquarebill, spinnerbait, and lipless crankbait bites peak.Midday: Bass settle near wood or rockjigs and slower crankbaits shine.Late Afternoon: As wind picks up and shad move, the crankbait/spinnerbait bite gets strong again.Other SpeciesCrappie are stacking up on deeper brush in 1218 ft.
