As of 4/24/24 the lake is still about half iced over. There are some decent spots to fish open water now. There are lot's of opportunities using different lures and baits to catch fish as ice comes off. Kastmasters, spoons, trout patterned jerkbaits and of course using streamers and midges if flyfishing. As it stays warmer and the ice continues to melt there will plenty of oppurtunity to get into some feeding fish closer to shore.
