Nearshore ledge, wreck, and reef fishing have been producing an abundance of large king mackerel, cobia, and permit. Many targeting kingfish have found success while freelining live bait such as sardines and blue runners, as well as trolling. Cobia and permit have been commonly targeted with pass crabs if accessible, as well as shrimp and live bait. Keep a bucktail tied on at all times to be ready for passing cobia. Further offshore, tuna have started to pop up along with a healthy mangrove snapper bite. When tuna are found, they are primarily being caught by live bait as well as slow and fast pitch jigging.
