The reservoir has been getting some ice throughout the lake but has been melting with the warm temps. It is fairly critical to find fish on sonar before you begin targeting walleye. Try using a jig tipped with a worm or deep diving crankbaits. Yellow perch populations are on there bound and have been caught abundantly throughout the reservoir. Catch perch using small jigs tipped with a nightcrawler or mealworm. Trout fishing for both rainbow and browns can be fantastic at this fishery. For trout try using power bait off the bottom,tube jigs, marabou jigs, and rapals. Starvation grows quality rainbows with reports of fish up to 27 being caught this year. They are cruising shorelines, rocking points and inlet areas targeting bugs,zooplankton and crayfish. On occasion they will eat small fish (yellow perch) and crankbaits will be effective.
