Fishing at Deer Creek has been good for both shore and boat anglers. Shore anglers using powerbait have been successfully catching rainbow trout. Try using spinners and spoons in gold and silver colors. Boat angler have reported good catch rates for trout, trolling with pop gear and a worm. Try trolling hard baits like flickershads or rapalas in brown trout or rainbow trout colors. Walleye fishing has been hit or miss, try trolling a worm harness/flicker shads in perch colors. Bass are still being caught from both shore and boat and will move to deeper water when temps cool down. The reservoir has been getting some unsafe ice near rainbow bay and the Charleston end of the lake.
