Spring Meadow
Rating - Good
Monday, Aug 01 2022
Larger bass have moved to deeper water, but don't overlook the shade under the thick mats of moss. A weedless jig heavy enough to punch through the moss might do the trick. Texas rigged worms in the deep weeds, drop shotting a gulp minnow or a crankbait over deep weeds could produce a nice bass. Smaller bass are still easily accessible in the shallows. Perch can be found by kayak or canoe anglers in the deepest weeds. A small jig with a worm or plastic will be successful. Trout can be caught by spin fishermen with worms or powerbait. Fly fishermen can do well in the evenings for bass and trout with a blue damselfly pattern.
