Trout fishing at Gates of the Mountains is good. There have been reports of anglers doing well trolling spoons around the edges. Some walleye are being caught buy anglers pitching jigs or trolling bottom bouncers and crankbaits. Pike fishing at Gates is decent. Big streamers, large soft plastics, and dead bait (smelt, herring) are the main methods to take spring pike.
