Per Michigan DNR: Lower Saginaw Bay: Walleye were caught by anglers jigging blade baits and jig heads with finesse minnows in the lower part of the Saginaw River. A few yellow perch were caught in the Sparkplug just off the channel on the west side. Eastern Saginaw Bay: A few anglers tried for walleye around Quanicassee; however, they found fishing to be slow. Some anglers caught yellow perch from both boats and shore. Most were on the smaller side, and anglers had to do some sorting to find keepers. From Sebewaing to Sand Point, walleye fishing was slow, with only a few caught in the slot on body baits. Those fishing for yellow perch reported mostly smaller fish in this area as well.
