Water temps are in the low to mid sixties. Bass fishing is starting to pick up this time of year. Slow worked finesse jigs and swimbaits could produce some bites but bass is becoming active this time of year. Soft plastics crankbaits, jerkbaits and spinner baits will be hot right now. Saugeye are being caught by slow trolling plugs, minnows, and jigs tipped with minnows. Crappies are still being caught on minnows and artificials like a Roadrunner or Shinee Hinee. Yellow perch are being caught around the islands on worms.
