The crappie bite has been good along the bluffs and in shallow water in downed timber fishing shallow with minnows and small jigs. Saugeye fishing is picking up and are being caught slow trolling the island and south beach area catfish being caught in fair numbers from the bank by the marina area. Troll Bandit 200 series near south beach area for saugeye and slab crappie. Curly tails tipped with a minnow can also be an effective presentation for saugeye.
