Anglers fishing Presque Isle Bay have reported they are still catching crappie and perch spread throughout. Anglers fishing towards the head of the bay and off of the third parking lot have had the most success so far. Soft plastic minnow baits and live minnows have worked well for anglers. Smallmouth are slowly making their way into the bay as the water continues to warm up. Trout fishing season is now in full swing with local tribs being stocked for a second time. Some good streams to check out would be elk creek, walnut creek, french creek, cascade creek and 20 mile creek. With the recent rain the trout maybe spread out more than usual. Anglers have has success using rooster tails, mepps spinners and a variety of different powerbait colors.
