Crappies and sunfish are going in Carsons Bay, North Arm, Phelps Bay, and Black Lake on Lake Minnetonka in 18 to 22 feet. A few walleyes are being caught in 28 to 30 feet with deadsticks and fatheads late in the day on Excelsior Bay, Wayzata Bay, and Browns Bay on Minnetonka. Crappies are being found suspended over 30 feet on Lake Independence, and Medicine Lake is producing pike in 15 to 18 feet on sucker minnows and tip-ups. Walking out or snowmobiles remain the best travel options due to deep snow and slush.
