Mille Lacs

Rating - Good

Saturday, Jan 28 2023
East Fishing pressure has been somewhat light, mainly due to deep slush. Those going out are catching walleyes late in the day on shoreline structure in 15 to 18 feet. If you can get to it, the deep-end gravel is giving up walleyes and some bigger perch in 24 to 30 feet. Lake conditions remain difficult with slush limiting where anglers can get to. Resorts are adapting to the situation and getting some roads open, but travel off them is nearly impossible unless you have some type of tracked vehicle. Work through a resort.West Fishing pressure has been light, mainly due to lake conditions. There are walleyes being caught on the rocks in St. Albans Bay and off the points in 18 to 20 feet. A few anglers on snowmobiles or ATVs with tracks have been going to the mud flats and catching walleyes in 22 to 25 feet late in the day. Varying ice depths, deep snow, and slush continue to limit travel on this end of the lake.
