Inshore Fishing Report --- 1. Redfish (Red Drum) - Grass lines, oyster beds, creek mouths, especially around high tide early mornings, are producing well. Live shrimp, cut mullet, and blue crab on circle hooks are all working effectively. Reports from jetties show reds of all sizes, including bullsand many anglers intentionally using big hooks (8/0) and heavy 50lb lines. 2. Speckled Trout - Holding in deeper holes and creek mouths. Topwater lures or live bait (mud minnows, live shrimp) early in the day, with popping corks working throughout. 3. Flounder - Best around structure docks, pilings, creek channels. Mud minnows or finger mullet on the bottom, or under popping corks, have been effective. 4. Sheepshead, Black Drum & Ladyfish - Along jetties/pilings: sheepshead using fiddler crabs; black drum in deeper holes with cut bait or shrimp; ladyfish energetic under popping corks. 5. Sharks & Migratory Species - Sharks (bonnet heads, blacktips, spinner, blacknose) are present near inlets and creek mouths. Cut/baited shrimp, heavier tackle, and circle hooks are effective. Migratory species (Spanish mackerel, bluefish, ladyfish, tarpon, jacks) are showing up as water warms. Conditions & Tactics --- Water temperatures are mid70s, triggering a summer bite.
