This is a great time to catch some big fish on this little lake. Jerk baits are a staple for early season fishing here, the Rapala Maverick will get the job done. Big flipping jigs and Zoom Baby Brush Hogs also do a great job early in the season around the lakes shallow cover. Crappie can be caught around the lakes many sunken cedar trees with minnows and Bobby Garland shad bodies.
