The Ark is fishing well this time of year. Small hatches occurring from 10AM to about 1PM. Best areas to fish are Osprey, Valco bridge, and near the river by Anticline pond. Water temps range in the low 50s. The river is the most busy in the early mornings but if you prefer to get away from the crowds, fish from noon till sunset. Small nymphs are working well from sizes 18-22. Articulated streamers have been working well both day and night, casting towards structure where you think a big one might be. With flows as low as 82 CFS expect the fish to congregate in areas from 2-4ft. There have been some hatches occurring as well from about 9AM-1PM. Fly fishing at night has also proven to be successful for us catching rainbows in deeper areas of the river. Both swinging streamers and jigging them has proven effective.
