Presque Isle Bay has continued to provide great smallmouth and largemouth fishing opportunities. Smallmouth are also being caught throughout local tribs. Anglers are still using a variety of plastics on a drop shot presentation to catch fish. Walleye season has opened and is off to a good start for anglers that are trolling and jigging in shallow towards dusk. Anglers may find success trolling shallow diving stick baits and jigging swimbaits. Lake trout fishing has also been picking up off of the mountain in North East.
