Upper Yellowstone:Dry flies have stared to hatch with caddis popping off in the hotter/sunnier parts of the river. The river still has some mud in it and will be expected to continue as we keep getting warmer weather. Your best bet for the next couple weeks would be to continue throwing stonefly nymphs with a smaller trailer coming off the back a couple inches away. There are a few people catching some on sculpin streamer but do not expect quantity if you are choosing to throw these. If nothing seems to be working you can always fish a San Juan worm in a bright red or earth tone and get some takes with that.Lower Yellowstone:As the water starts to warm up, the fishing for Pike, Walleye and Bass will start to be picking up. Spinning Rods are the name of the game as well as having a good reliable boat with a motor to get you up and down the river.
