TENMILE LAKES:trout, warmwater species, largemouth bassLargemouth bass can be found around any submerged wood and can be caught on spinnerbaits, jigs, or crankbaits. As the water temperatures continue to cool down, bass will move into deep water for the winter. Yellow perch fishing continues to be very good for anglers fishing from a boat or fishing from a dock this past week. Yellow perch have been in 15-20 feet of water and are biting on small jigs or a worm on a hook. If you fish and area for 10-15 minutes without a bite, its time to move to another location. The wild coho fishery is open on Tenmile Lake through Dec. 31. Anglers are allowed to harvest 1 wild coho per day and 5 for the season in aggregate with Siltcoos and Tahkenitch lakes. The Tenmile Lake level is 6.4 ft at the outlet, which is still too low to allow a decent number of coho to enter the lakes.
