As of mid-June 2025, the Siletz River is offering fair fishing conditions for spring Chinook, summer steelhead, and cutthroat trout. Spring Chinook fishing has begun, with a few reports of fish being caught in the lower sections of the river; however, fishing remains slow, and fish are likely dispersed further upstream . Summer steelhead have been reported, and angling is expected to improve over the next month as these fish move toward the gorge. Bank angling in the gorge is best from late June through July, and float fishing from Moonshine Park to Siletz can also be productive if stream flows allow . Cutthroat trout fishing opened on May 22, with fish distributed throughout the Siletz basin; anglers are reminded to check regulations for bait use and closed streams. The river is currently flowing at moderate levels, providing favorable conditions for fishing. Anglers are encouraged to check current regulations and stream flows before heading out. Overall, while fishing conditions are fair, persistence and adherence to regulations will enhance the fishing experience on the Siletz River.
