Pearl River

Rating - Very_Good

Sunday, Oct 03 2021
Cooler temps and the bass hitting top water. Look to the East Pearl for pads and drains once we have a couple of cool fronts and the water temps start to drop. The bass will be chasing and feeding like they havent eaten in a month. The main river and up to Wastehouse is lined with pads and tops that chunky fall bass should be positioning on. Floating frogs craws, spinnerbaits, and flukes should get your line stretched with a hard fighting Pearl River bass. Shad on the West should start moving off the main river by the end of the month and into some of the cuts. Same baits as the East should entice some bites in the cuts on the West Pearl. Both systems have current so keep in mind river fish are still river fish and a large part of them have been shallow all year. The same Marsh Craw you were swimming now can be used as a flipping bait as still rack up numbers as well as big bites.
