LAKE OF THE WOODS: hatchery rainbow trout, kokanee, hatchery brown trout, yellow perch, brown bullhead, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, crappie, tui chubThe lake is open water. For recent fishing updates, call the resort at 1-866-201-4194. The lake is dominated by stunted yellow perch. Very small bait and hooks will catch these fish. Yellow perch fishing should be slow.Water temperatures are near freezing. Fishing for warmwater fish might improve with warmer conditions. Fishing for brown trout and kokanee might be worth a try.You can also visit Lake of the Wood's website to observe current conditions at the lake.
