Lake Kennedy has been full of a lot of different freshwater species including largemouth bass, bluegill, carp, and gar. You can even find beautiful peacock bass throughout this lake. The best bait to use here is live freshwater shiners. However, if you are trying to catch a carp, you can catch these gentle giants with bait as simple as bread. Lake Kennedy Community Park is an area where you can have a relaxing family day as this park has a dock, playgrounds, basketball courts, and even an area where you can view burrowing owls!
